Ten Years of Change – The Next Decade Starts Now

In 2027, FutureBoards celebrates its 10th anniversary – and ten years since the first FutureBoards Cross-Border Dialogue in Singapore.

When we first met in Singapore in 2017, the conversation started with a clear question: How can we get more women into the boardroom?

A decade later, progress has been made, but important challenges remain. Meanwhile, the world in which boards and business leaders operate has changed dramatically.

This anniversary edition will focus on three key themes:

• A New World Order – Navigating Geopolitical Uncertainty. How are shifting alliances, economic security and the move from efficiency to resilience affecting business strategy and risk?

• Corporate Governance for the Next Decade – Are Boards Fit for the Future? How are AI, cybersecurity and new business realities changing board responsibilities and competence requirements?

• Gender Balance in Corporate Leadership – Ten Years On, What's Next? What has worked, what hasn't, and what will it take to achieve lasting progress in boardrooms and executive leadership?

Bringing together board directors, business leaders and experts from Norway, Singapore and the wider region, the Dialogue will explore what can and must change in and around boardrooms and executive management teams over the next decade – and what Norway and Singapore can learn from each other.

The event will once again be hosted by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Singapore, with Telenor Asia providing the venue. We are delighted to continue our collaboration with the Singapore Institute of Directors (SID) and the Norwegian Business Association Singapore (NBAS).

The programme will combine short introductions, moderated discussions and active audience participation, encouraging an open exchange of perspectives and experiences across borders.
